This is a magnificent Persian
Josheghan carpet woven in pure wool. Many wonderful carpets
were once produced in Josheghan. Those dating from the 18th
and the beginning of the 19th-century were so like to Herat
carpets that it is natural to assume Nadir Shah, after the conquest
of Afghanistan, may have transferred some of its carpet makers
to the city of Josheghan. These carpets are woven in great details
and have a pleasing affect which never use the connected tendrils
as in vase or floral carpets. Josheghan carpets are known to
be hard wearing and durable. A real work of art for your floors.
