This is a beautiful tribal
Persian Bakhtiari paisley design carpet woven in pure wool.
Bakhtiari carpets are made by a tribe living in the south of
Mahallat, between the cities of Hamadan and Isfahan in Iran.
They are dyed almost exclusively with vegetable colors and are
all woven in fine to medium qualities. The Batkhtiari carpets
fall into two groups, the first of which can be described as,
tribal, and the second as, workshop, weavings. This wonderful
all-over paisley design carpet is a good example of the fine
tribal Bakhtiari weavings. A highly decorative carpet for your
